Perubahan Bunyi Bahasa Proto-Austronesia ke dalam Bahasa Batak Dialek Toba

This study aims to describe the types of sound changes from the Proto-Austronesian language into the Batak language with the Toba dialect. This study uses a qualitative method using oral and written data. Oral data collection was carried out using a competent method, namely interviews between researchers and source persons. Written data was recorded using the written/oral method by listening to the researcher's conversation with the source person. The source of the data was obtained from informants who were native speakers of the Batak Toba dialect. Vocabularies taken from recorded speakers are those listed in the Swadesh list, by collecting 200 Swadesh list vocabularies and translating them into Toba Batak Language. Then describe the types of sound changes. Next, analyze the sound change of the Proto Austronesian language into the Toba Batak language. It was concluded that the sound change of the proto Austronesian language into the Batak Toba dialect based on the position of the sound contained seven sound changes, namely metathesis, apheresis, syncope, apocope, prosthesis, ephenthesis, paragog.
